Styling Engine Methodology
A transparent look into the algorithmic scoring, silhouette geometry, and color theory behind THE WARDROVE.
Unlike generic applications that claim "AI magic" while simply returning randomized garments, THE WARDROVE operates on deterministic fashion editorial rules developed with sartorial stylists.
1. Silhouette Completeness Verification
An ensemble must always fulfill physical reality before receiving a score. The engine checks:
- A valid base must exist: either a Top + Bottom combination, or a One-Piece Dress.
- Shoes are strictly required for every valid outfit.
- Layering conflicts are eliminated: a dress cannot be paired concurrently with trousers or a skirt.
2. Occasion & Formality Matrix
Garments possess formality indices ranging from Casual to Formal. Outfits intended for formal occasions (e.g. Wedding Guest or Formal Events) penalize casual pieces like distress denim or athletic hoodies, while prioritizing refined silks, woolens, and tailored trousers.
3. Algorithmic Chromatic Harmony
The system maps each garment's primary and secondary colors against perceptual human vision distances. It evaluates neutral tones, monochromatic spectrums, and complementary tensions, producing a transparent styling rationale for every generated look.
